recuperación de alimentos
Alimentar, no desperdiciar.

WHAT DOES ASG DO ABOUT IT?
Our region is disproportionately suffering to access healthy foods. ASG unlocks our community’s feeding potential to highlight the value of food.
We fight hunger, reduce waste, and build community.
Our Food Recovery partnerships connect surplus donations from food donors to food recipients, driven by our passionate group of food rescuers.

why asg is the right partner
1) You don't have to worry about the logistics of HOW, WHEN, or WHERE to donate.
-
As long as you take care of the WHAT, we take care of how the food is packaged and distributed, when to safely donate the food, and where to create the best impact for our landscape of nonprofits
-
ASG can take just about any food and any quantity, no matter how small or large
-
We have an expansive network to safely donate the right food to nonprofits in our community
"All you have to do is give ASG a call and set up a time. They will take care of the rest."
- Chef Dan from Wright Brothers
2) You don't have to think about the LIABILITIES with donating food.
-
Once you donate the food, it is ASG's responsibility to deliver the food safely and maintain its quality
-
The Food Donation Improvement Act of 2021 and the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act of 1996 state that donors are protected from any civil or criminal liability when donating food in good faith to a nonprofit agency. These laws, supported by the USDA and EPA, were created to support and encourage the donation of food and groceries.
"I love the fact that you guys are able to check the laws. Knowing that I’m covered helps us pay it forward
with food donations."
- Chef Dan from Wright Brothers

Spotlight: Northside Baptist Church
“The partnership Northside Baptist has with ASG has allowed the church to solidify its ministry into an actively impactful and reliable source of food for its community. Without the ASG partnership, 85% of the capacity of the ministry would have to stop. Northside Baptist simply doesn’t have the monetary resources to purchase the food that would be required. Northside Baptist has supportive working church members, but the church would most likely need to stop the children/guardian meals altogether.”
“Now because of the support from consistent weekly donations from ASG on Wednesdays, Northside has been able to add takeaway bag lunches for patrons that attend the Thursday breakfast. And along with Thursdays, Northside is able to offer a hot meal on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. These evening meals consist of neighborhood family dinners. Children and guardians walk or are picked up/dropped off by the church vans to the church for healthy meals. This has helped Northside build a lot of relationships within their direct community.”
