Update: Over the past month, local food pantries have seen a 30% increase in requests for assistance. While SNAP (formerly called food stamps) benefits have been restored, new rules are likely to result in many recipients losing benefits again in the months to come. We are continuing to work with our partners to get as much food as possible onto local food pantry shelves in anticipation of the need continuing to rise.
