Friends who have included A Simple Gesture in their estate plans through a will or the beneficiary designation of retirement plan or life insurance are eligible to join
The Jonathan Trivers Legacy Society.

Jonathan & Karen Trivers
Jonathan believes that every community already has enough food to feed its neighbors — it just needs an easy way to get it where it's needed most. A retired marketing professional, he and his wife Karen founded A Simple Gesture in Paradise, California, proving that a grassroots idea, done consistently, could change lives. His vision inspired chapters across the country, including our own here in Greensboro, and we are proud to honor that legacy by naming our legacy giving society after him.

Leslie Loyd
Leslie has spent her life's work feeding people, and found her deepest calling in watching an entire community feed each other — day after day, month after month. As CEO of A Simple Gesture, she has seen firsthand the love that lives inside this mission. By including ASG in her estate plans, Leslie hopes to keep that love alive long after she's gone. "I can't think of a better legacy to leave than continuing to support a community that cares for each other."

Richard W. Jennings
Mr. Jennings was a lifelong Greensboro community servant — an Eagle Scout, Sunday school teacher, and quiet, anonymous philanthropist who gave to causes ranging from Youth Focus to projects in Thailand and Brazil. Though A Simple Gesture didn't yet exist when Richard passed in 2009, his nephew honored his uncle's deep love for Greensboro by directing a generous estate gift to our organization — a gift that helped fund our first three years of operation. Richard lived by the belief that "You can love many people, you never share love, you only share time" — and his gift is a testament to just that.
Benefits include an invitation to our annual coffee with our president, the opportunity to be acknowledged as Jonathan Trivers Legacy Society member, and the satisfaction of knowing your gift will support
A Simple Gesture for future generations

For more information about our Legacy Society program, please email Karen, and she will be happy to set up a time to speak with you.
